Ahmed and Dionne Muhammad started Nation's Best Desserts in the early 1990s, they expertly baked desserts out of their 2-bedroom apartment in East Orange, New Jersey. Ahmed being the hardworking soldier that he is, established the name NATION'S BEST while selling the Final Call Newspaper along with bean pies, butternut squash pies and carrot cakes on the street corners of Plainfield, East Orange and Newark, New Jersey. During that time, Dionne who has always been very crafty and talented when it comes to creating beautiful projects, started a very profitable side hustle of decorating cakes for all occasions. In 2003, the family relocated to metro Atlanta Georgia, where they continue to provide delicious wholesale and retail desserts including decorated cakes for all occasions.
